CD-Ride DVD of my ride on Top Gun: The Jet Coaster from my “Screamin’ in the Smokies” trip last year when I was cleaning the house. I watched it and would like to share it with you As of today, Top Gun: The Jet Coaster is my #1 favorite steel coasters. As of today, I have been on 78 different coaster and Top Gun: The Jet Coaster has given me the great feeling that no other steel coaster. The best seats are the first two rows… the rest of it doesn’t really kick it. I love it! Raptor at Cedar Point almost has the same feeling but it is not as strong as Top Gun: The Jet Coaster.
Since Cedar Fair bought all the chain parks owned by Paramount Parks, Carowinds renamed Top Gun: The Jet Coaster to Afterburner. I like this name since it fit the story with Top Gun: The Jet Coaster. I’m glad it is not called Flight Deck like in Kings Islands’ suspended coaster that used to be called Top Gun and now it is called Flight Deck. I’m sure they could come up with a better name but it is already change for this year.
Afterburner is located in Carowinds in South Carolina side. In case if you didn’t know, Carowinds is placed in the middle of two states, North Carolina and South Carolina. I spend two days at Carowinds and it was a blast. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to share a lot of pictures with you since I lost my camera when I was on Borg AKA Nighthawk which I thought I lock it up in the locker nearby but it ended up in the lake. Whoops. Word of advice, check your pocket before you go on any flying coaster or any coaster in general.
Everything is orginal that I recieved in the package on the DVD. The only editing I did was the voiceovier from my Mac of where I was “talking”. I hope you enjoyed it!

That coaster looks very fun! I hope to ride it someday. For some reason, all (in my opinion)inverted coasters not just B&M ones are more intense in front. Jerks you a bit more and you can feel the forces against you. Except V2 at SFGAm which is best in back.
Actually this coaster didn’t jerk at all when I rode it. It was great! One of the smoothest coaster I have been on!
