Brief Overview:

CoasterWarriors.com is looking for a best-looking, attractive, eye-appealing wallpaper for our first give-a-away!  

Requirements:

This contest will be design with three different sizes to allow members to choose the appropriate wallpaper to suit with their monitor.  You will design the Wallpaper at this size: 1680 x 1050px.

House Rules:

1. You have to be a register member of CoasterWarriors.com to participate.  It’s free.  Join today! Click here to join!
2. It has to be a roller coaster / theme & amusement park related / dark rides related theme wallpaper.
3. You can use photos, drawings, illustration, or rendering images EXCEPT premade wallpaper from the parks’ website.
4. You may submit up to 3 wallpapers for this contest.
5. You have to submit compress images (640×480) on the assign forum to allow other members to participate in the contest.  Forum is found here.

Deadlines:
Feburary 19, 2010 11:59 PM EST

Voting:
CoasterWarriors community will have the opportunity to be the judge and will submit their polls if they wish to participate from Feburary 22, 2010 to Feburary 26, 2010.  The wallpaper with most vote will be the winner.

Let’s think fresh and new name! What CoasterWarriors.com will be offering is a counter for these following: parks, coasters, rides, & haunt zone! Sound like a lot right? I agreed but everybody is different and they can track what they care about and CoasterWarriors will do that for you!

Alton Towers had quite a big announcement today as the name of SW6 (Secret Weapon Six)  was announced; it was announced as TH13TEEN!  From the official TH13TEEN website:

“Thirteen will be based on the discovery of an unearthed ancient burial site in an area of unexplored woodland known as the Dark Forest.

Built on the site of the old Corkscrew rollercoaster, visitors will be invited to take a petrifying ride on Thirteen, venturing into the seemingly living and breathing Dark Forest. There they will face an unknown horror that has been unleashed from the ancient crypt.

The ride has been developed with the world’s leading coaster and thrill consultants who have collaborated to combine the ultimate elements of physical and psychological fear – to create what experts are dubbing a ‘psychoaster’.”

It’ll be interesting to see how this coaster turns out.  From the pictures and videos on the site, it looks to be pretty well themed.  Let’s hope it turns out this way!

Get connected with the park with Facebook, Twitter,  MySpace, and YouTube!  It is a great opportunity to follow the park and seeing what they are up to.  Social Media is becoming popular and it is a great way to get update with the park while you’re away from the park.   This is also a great opportunity to get teaser, follow any construction, and upcoming events.  That’s not all.  There are many things that can feature on the park’s use with Social media network.

Holiday World was one of the very first park that use Social Media after being the first to use the blog format to post update and share funny moments with the readers.   Then we are seeing major parks like Cedar Point join along and Kings Island started blogging this year.

Just a little head up with CoasterWarriors.com park database, we will be adding a couple new features.  One of the new features in the park snapshot, there will be links to Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, and YouTube channel if the park has any.  We should have the improved version of the Park Database by end of August.

Basically in the nutshell of what’s Fright Tour is all about:

There’s five days usually one day every weekend and five different parks during the halloween season, CoasterFusion and other members from their website will join together and spend the day at the park and get frighten while walking through the maze, haunted houses, and other scary places.  Pretty scary?  Sound like it!  Be sure to check out their website aka my work:  http://www.frighttour.com  Enjoy it!  Be sure to have audio on so you can feel the thunder claps hit your spine!  Oh that’s creepy!  Go! Hurry before they come and get you!

If you’re on twitter, follow us… it is that easy!  You will find things that you won’t see here on the website or on the blog… only on twitter!  What do I mean?  Well that’s for you to sign up and follow us!    (…Yes I know it is a promo tag line…)

2009 has arrived!  Just like every year, we have many new exciting ride that is opening within a few month.  Diamondback is one of our biggest attention but we are also excited about other new rides or rides moved from another park to continue to bring fun and laugh while at the park.

I would like to start off this new year with many exciting feature that we will reveal in the next few months.  I won’t share these until we have the official beta version of it.  Keep eye on this blog for more information.  One thing that we will tell you is that we will have CoasterWarriors.com Official Trip Report back online very soon.  We have many trips that we haven’t posted on the web yet so I’m working on putting the trip report together and we will have our “Mega” announcement when it is ready!

We start tracking the numbers of hits in March 2007 and we finish off 2007 with over 2,000 hits and we finish off 2008 with over 13,000 hits!  Let hope we  bypass 13,000 hits and get 30,000 hits or more! And hopefully have 150 or more members as well!   In the next few weeks, we will be releasing special features on CoasterWarriors.com.  We won’t say it all but we will have one page that is decidated to the 2009 new rides and roller coasters!    Other materials will be release when it is ready.

What’s up with CoasterWarriors.com during the off-season you may ask? CoasterWarriors.com will be going through some renovation on the website and we are hoping for a great kick off in late March as we prepare our 3rd season. Here are the things we are going to be working on in November in the theme park section:

- Improve the design for the park section
- Add link to the park official site
- Add Trip Report List to each park
- Add Park RSS for news and more.
- Fix the photo gallery in the Park Database
- Add Video Gallery
- Add Defunct Section
- And more as we go on!

I have promise you two announcement today and you got it! I’m going to keep it short thou.  Here they are!

My first announcement is where you are right now… That’s right our official CoasterWarriors.com Blog aka CW Blog!  If you remember back where we have Cyberchop Stix Blog and we didn’t post any update after the third one so we remove the idea of CyberChopstix Blog and turn into CW Blog… This will be our official CW Blog where we will post all the update on CoasterWarriors.com from today to forever… Also you will find my respond to selected articles from the press or park release… Also I may share my “memory down the lane” from my old days at the park starting from last year.  We will have live link from the front page shortly.

Our second announcement that is responding to your “Huh?” on our menu… We will be revealing it on Monday, November 17, 2008 at Noon EST!  It will be soft opening and we should have majority of the stuff done by the end of the month!  There will be countdown timer posted on Friday to November 17th!
